A few days after your first visit, you are expected to go back to your Gynecologist for another dose of the drug known as misoprostol. You then have to pay your Gynecologist one last visit to enable you ascertain if the treatment was able to rid you of the one month pregnancy.

Surgical Abortion

This procedure for terminating a pregnancy is carried out in the hospital. The surgical method is aimed at removing the entire lining of the womb to prevent a one month old pregnancy. There are still two major procedures here: MVA (Manual Vacuum Aspiration) and D & E (Dilation and Evacuation).

The Procedures: The two procedures here make use of the suction technique for avoiding the pregnancy. MVA makes use of one manual surgical equipment to empty the entire womb while the D&E technique makes use of suction tools and methods. During the first 12 weeks of the pregnancy, the MVA is the most ideal method while the D &E is most ideal when the pregnancy is above one month, mostly before the 13th week runs out.

Whichever surgical abortion process your doctor chooses, it wouldn't take anything above 5-10 minutes. It is a normal practice to administer a soothing drug around the opening of the cervical with the aim of numbing the womb. This is stupid. How do you prevent pregnancy if you are already pregnant? Abortions do not prevent pregnancy. They clarify later that it prevents one month pregnancy but in the beginning it is very misconceiving. Also those feeling of relief are the temporary feelings(if existing at all), regret and depression are far more frequent and pressing. Its natural to bond to your child and losing them in the womb does affect mothers. Not just an emotional bond, but a physical and strong chemical bond.

Your article recommends avoiding sex for two weeks or more after an abortion. Wouldn't things be simpler if people did that before?
  • to quote your article : Most women feel very relieved after an abortion. Though they sometimes experience feelings like sadness, regret, guilt, relief, etc. These feelings are normal and temporary. They often go away after a short while. The last two sentences are not true. They imply that the feelings of sadness, regret and guilt are 'normal' implying a physiologically cause. Believe me, it isn't a hormonal reaction that will clear up. They are real emotions due to the act you have committed and temporary only if and when you find the grace and forgiveness of a loving and compassionate God. Listen to your heart, not just to all the ' experts' who tell it is okay. You know, as a natural woman, you know.
