    I went through this awful experience after I had a kidney stone removed. I was on high pain killers all weekend. Which they say can cause constipation. I hadn't gone for 5 days and once I felt the urge to, it just wouldn't come out. I tried sitting in a bath, using natural lubricant, and rubbing the area with a hot rag. Nothing worked. But, I decided to drink a few cups of very warm water with lemon juice, and walked around for 10 minutes and it seemed to do the trick! It got my insides moving and I felt great relief! I would really recommend this trick! Good luck!

    Ive had constipation issues since i was little. Im 20 now and its still very very hard when I poop.. Ive tryed everything and dont know what to do now.

    So this is a problem I've had on and off for the last decade. It's usually been related to my diabetes being out of wack and just poor overall nutrition. (Personal observation!) I wasn't aware that it could be caused also by dehydration, and that would explain quite a bit. I was doing really good for a long, long stretch, but more recently there's been a sharp decrease in the amount of fluid (and I'm talking JUST water here, as I gave up soda some months back) and then, bam. Another issue in the bathroom. So I think I'll work a bit harder on increasing the water, lol. And I'll also point out that when I was still drinking soda (and it was only diet due to the diabetes), this wasn't an issue. But! Big but.... because your stomach hates fake sugar, but hates it in a way that doesn't cause constipation. It'll cause other unpleasant issues, just not the one that makes you feel shredded down there while trying to get it out. And a couple times when it's been super bad, I've tried to pour water down in that area to make things a bit easier. Sometimes it helped. And the pelvic muscle thing? I learned that on my own, and it helps big with my mild to moderate incidents.

    I use a pen, I stick it up, move it from side to side and back and forward, it breaks up the poo. Works every time, my bum hole and insides still hurt afterwards from the hard poo. The pen makes it much easier.

    Ugh it feels like my insides are bruised after that. Hurt so bad. 2 hours until any fuxking god. It was rthe size of a Lysol wipes container. Not an exaxiration. Suprised I didn't faint.

    I'm 14 and I've had trouble pooping since I was very little. It's really hard for me. I poop like every to days and I'm in there for an hour. This sucks because it always comes out hard and big. It doesn't even go down the toilet right. When I was ten my mom had to stay with me in the bathroom for 3 hours and give me apple and prune juice to just poop. This makes my life miserable. I also think there's something wrong because I've been doing research, I think I have an anal fissure. It's to imbarsing to ask my mom about. I just have to deal. If anyone has any advice please tell me.

    You can't not let it get past 1 week ever! I once didn't poop for 4 weeks went to the doctor I had a benign tumor blocking poop from coming out. Had to have colorectal surgery more painful then all poops combined I sat in a tub for 3 weeks crying doped up on Percocets which of course made the constipation worse. First drink 1liter of water a day Add olive oil to everything- I literally was eating it off of a tablespoon with a drop of balsamic vinegar for taste. Eat 30grams of fiber a day. Excercise at least 2x a week. If you are on meds or if this still doesn't work add a cap of miralax daily. Once u are past 1 week you need to take drastic measures. Citrate mag or double doses of miralax. That's doesn't work see ur doc immediately it could be something worse. Soaks in the tub help to relax sphincter. Squatting puts colon in proper position. If necessary if your have hemroids treat them multiple times a day with cream. Can sit on ice pack or hot pack to help shrink and relax.

    I have this problem occasionally and it feels terrible. It does end up being when I eat badly. Exercise helps but it hard to know how much you will need to get it out. I used to use the orange fiber drinks at the store but they stopped working and I got worried about how natural it was to take so often, like previous commenter. I tried olive oil but needed more than a tbl spoon for it to work. But I found a fiber wellness drink powder made with some prebiotics and probiotics works really well to maintain my regularity. It comes in berry flavor that tastes good so I remember to take it at night, it also dropped my high cholesterol level by 12 points. Alot better than the other suggested solutions. It was worth it to try it for me.
